Itinerary:
Every spring, the Kortright Conservation Centre hosts The Sugarbush Maple Syrup Festival. Located just north of Toronto, Kortright offers 16km of beautiful hiking trails and educational exhibits and programs on sustainable, green technologies.

The carpool will leave Downsview station at 10:15am sharp so please try to arrive a little early.

Upon arrival, we'll book a tour of the Sustainable House for 11:30am - a showcase in green technologies for better living. At 12:30pm, we will take the 1hr Maple Syrup guided tour which includes maple syrup production demonstrations, sap sampling and more. Sometime during the day, we'll sit down to enjoy a pancake breakfast ($5.50 for 2) or some other snack (like back bacon on a bun) in the Kortright Cafe.

Then it's time for some hiking, a wagon ride or a movie on Peregrine Falcons. Or maybe all three, with the group splitting up to accommodate people's interests. I will be leading a moderately paced group hike for anyone who wants to come along.

We will meet back at the Visitor Centre by 4:15pm to head back to Downsview with an ETA of 4:45pm.
