Itinerary:

Okay, so I am secure enough to throw myself a hike.

Three years ago (give or take a few days of this event) I joined the TOC and went on my first hike with the club. Here's a chance for me to mark the occasion, and I'd like you* to come along ;)

While we'll be ahead of the apple blossoms, Pretty Valley remains a lovely hike. We'll hit the highest point on the Bruce Trail (540m), find a few lookouts, and can expect a reasonably hilly route. I haven't finalized the exact details, but here's what we're aiming for: 25-30km in length and a 5+kph minimum pace, letting the more aggressive hikers push us on faster! (Certainly I expect we'll pause a couple of times to admire anything awesome we see along with catching lunch.) It'll be a 'there and back' style hike unless I hear ahead of time that people prefer to car shuffle. (I go both ways.)

I'm looking forward to being made sorry for the pace by the end of the day :) Similarly though, sorry or happy, I should be able to see that you can handle this hike. Either have obviously comparable experience with the TOC, or write me a convincing story of your many and varied adventures within the 'Notes' area. (Though I'll feel bad, I will remove you otherwise.)

It's hard to know this far out, but if the footing ends up being miserable due to late snow/heavy rains or whatever we'll adjust the length/speed... but seek to work comparably hard. Being generally positive natured, I expect lovely, sunny 15C weather though! (Maybe ... ? Maybe.)

After the hike, if the tyranny of the majority wills it, we'll look at grabbing a bite to eat/bit to drink before heading home.

P.S.> Yes, this is your* official invitation to my party; there will be not one, but two clowns. (Should you need extra incentive to not to fall behind, note that they will be chasing us.)

* While emotionally 'you' refers to everyone <3, practically you should be comfortable with the pace ;)
