This event is being moved to a downtown location - Bathurst/Wellington St. This spinning session will be 1 hour

What is this event about?

Spinning is an aerobic exercise that takes place on a specially designed stationary bicycle called (obviously enough) a spinning bike. As you pedal, motivating music plays and the instructor talks you through a visualization of an outdoor cycling workout: "You're going up a long hill now, you can't see the top yet.…" During the class you vary your pace -- sometimes pedaling as fast as you can, other times cranking up the tension and pedaling slowly from a standing position. This helps you to focus inwardly and work on your mind as well as your body.

Our event description:

  • This will be a guided 1 hour lesson in a convenient and spacious studio with music, coaching - and using the latest style in spinning bikes - the REAL RIDER that allows movement and turning from side to side.
  • You will be guided through a series of drills to challenge your legs, lungs and core including: warm-up, steady uptempo, cadences, sprints, hill climbs and cool-downs/stretch.

This event is hosted by CYKL.

  • This facility has coat racks, storage bins for bags, washrooms, change rooms, showers, towels and filtered water. Parking is available on nearby streets.

    Skill level needed:

  • You DO NOT have to be a good cyclist to enjoy the benefits of spinning.
  • This event is suitable for the absolute beginner and experienced riders as well.
  • Expect to burn 600-800 calories!
  • Most importantly - you will have the option to go at the pace and level that you are most comfortable with.
