Itinerary:

Last section of the Toronto Section of the Bruce Trail!

We'll start on Winston Churchill Blvd, just north of Terra Cotta village. The trail will take us through forests and fields to emerge on Heritage Rod, then back into mature bush. We then climb to the top of the escarpment. We then move away from the primary scarp edge, to a scondary escarpment in mature woods. We'll head through the Cheltenham Badlands, across Olde Baseline Rd and then gradually climb the lower slopes of the escarpment past an old quarry. Following roads and unopened road allowances, we'll eventually end up climbing down the steep steps cut into the escarpment at the Devil's Pulpit, which will lead to our end point, the Forks of the Credit.

This will be a one-way hike of about 19km, with a car shuttle, so depending on the weather, bring something warm and/or dry to wear while waiting for the drivers to retrieve cars at the end of the day. We'll maintain a steady pace of 4 - 4.5 km/hr so hiking time should be around 5 hours. We'll have a lunch stop and regular water breaks along the way.

We'll stop for lunch somewhere en route, probably around the Badlands, and then after getting the cars, we'll head to The Frigate and Firkin Pub at Queen and Hwy 410.

Previous experience at this level with the TOC, or proof of similar experience elsewhere is required to come on this event.
