Itinerary:

Prince Edward County is world famous for its scenery and reknown for bicycle touring . The entire region is rolling hills and small towns, on the shores of Lake Ontario and the Bay of Quinte, home to wineries like Waupoos and their famous cider (better than Strongbow, so I've been told by those who know). Starting in Picton, we'll cycle along the Loyalist Highway to the towns of Bloomfield and Wellington, then south to Sandbanks and around to Cherry Valley, Milford, Waupoos and back to Picton. The entire route is 79.9 km, and mostly rolling countryside. We'll have all day to bike, so plenty of time to stop in the towns on the way. Check out the maps on the Prince Edward County official website

Car pooling - when you sign up, please indicate how many bikes you can take with you (in addition to your own), or if you need someone with room for your bike, or you plan on renting when you get there. If you made arrangements with another TOC member for carpooling, let me know so I don't overbook you. It will be first come first serve as far as availability - those with cars and bike racks will get first priority, those who need a ride and there is no room, will get bumped to the waiting list. I will let you know who is in your carpool before the date and you can make your own arrangements.

Note: Helmets are required on all TOC biking events. You will not be allowed to participate without one
