Itinerary:
Oo-là-là! It's Cinéfranco time! 2009 is the French film festival's 12th year in Toronto.

Our French-themed evening will begin with a film (starting at 6:30 PM), followed by dinner at a nearby restaurant.

The movie is a comedy ("dramady") called "Le grand départ", or its English title "Honey, I'm in love".
"Jean-Paul Cardin, a fifty three year old young doctor, falls in love with Nathalie, a twenty-eight year old painter. Goodbye wife, kids, parents-in-law, old friends, and neighbors. JP moves into a condo with his girlfriend. Life seems absolutely rosy in the beginning, and then things start getting more complicated — with wife, kids and in-laws ..." It's a French-Canadian (Quebec) film released in 2007, but our showing will be its Toronto Premier. (Note: French language; however, this movie WILL be subtitled in English.) click here for details/trailer

After the movie, we'll go across the street and continue our French themed evening at a Crêpe restaurant. What better setting to relax at the end of the week, discuss the movie, and fill up on crepes, at reasonable prices! restaurant web site and menu
We will meet close to the cinema (exact location TBD) at 5:45 PM and get into the lineup together. Dinner is optional; however I'll be making reservations so I'll be surveying you beforehand to find out if you're joining us or not.
