Ever wondered what all the symbols and colours on a map represent? Mystified how to determine where you are and how to get where you're going? Come and learn the basics of map reading, so that the next time you're out on a TOC hike, you can confidently interpret a trail guide or map. This introduction to map reading will cover four basic topics:
We won't be getting into GPS setup and interpretation, as that's a whole topic in its own right, but you should leave this session confident that you can find your current location on a map, and be able to navigate to your destination. | |||||||
