Itinerary:

Come and spend the last summer long weekend away from the city! We've booked two lake front sites (730 and 732) at Grundy Lake Provincial Park. A network of sparkling small lakes and majestic coniferous and broad-leafed forests make up the landscape of this park, which is just south of the boundary between northern and southern Ontario. Deer and moose are common in the park area, and smaller mammals such as muskrat, raccoon, mink, fox and beaver can often be spotted. More than 160 species of birds have been identified near Grundy Lake, especially in the marsh areas.

We will have plenty to do as there are three swimming areas, hiking trails, and canoe, kayak, and paddleboat rentals.

We'll be leaving Toronto on Friday afternoon, and returning on Monday afternoon.

Note that you MUST attend the pre-trip meeting on Wednesday, August 12 at 7pm at Chalkers (see Calendar postings) as this is where food, tent and carpool arrangements will be made. Failure to do so will result in your immediate removal from this event.
