Itinerary: | |||||||
See the last of the fall colours, on the trees or beneath your feet! There's nothing better than hiking through the woods in the fall. We'll do two different loops in the south end of Hockley Valley, totalling about 10 km. We won't be going too fast (~3.5 km/hr) so bring your cameras and capture the magic. We'll find a suitable place to stop for lunch on the trail. After the hike, we'll hop back into the cars for a very quick drive to join a free tour of a very special house in the area. This house was designed to be self-sufficient and green as can be! Its solar and wind energy systems pay for themselves as most days they sell energy BACK to the grid instead of buying from! See and learn the different techniques and methods used in this innovative building! More details here: http://www.naturallifenetwork.com/sunfest2008/ Agenda: 10:00 Start Hike. Noon-ish Break for Lunch. 2:30 - 3:30 House tour. We might stop in for a drink in Orangeville if everyone is amenable. | |||||||
