Itinerary:

Starting from Niagara-on-the-Lake, we'll bike east along the lakeshore through wine country (with detours, if desired!) to Welland Canal, then west to the Niagara Trail. We can decide if we want to continue the 13 Km to Niagara Falls, or return to Niagara-on-the-lake for a nice dinner. The loop is 43Km, not including the detour to Niagara Falls, but the ride is relatively easy, there are many historical spots along the route, plus the rolling hills and views of vineyards. We'll take an easy to moderate pace with plenty of time to stop for pictures, flowers and wine tasting. After our ride, we can drive up to Niagara Falls and see the falls at night, or try out any of the entertainment offered including the Casino. This will have to be worked out with your carpool and/or other members of the group

If you don't have a bike there are a number of places that will rent out bikes in Niagara-on-the-lake. Here are a few , and I suggest that you make arrangements in advance as this is a very popular activity!

Car pooling - when you sign up, please indicate how many bikes you can take with you (in addition to your own), or if you need someone with room for your bike, or you plan on renting when you get there. If you made arrangements with another TOC member for carpooling, let me know so I don't overbook you. It will be first come first serve as far as availability - those with cars and bike racks will get first priority, those who need a ride and there is no room, will get bumped to the waiting list. I will let you know who is in your carpool before the date and you can make your own arrangements. although I've put Downsview as the default waiting spot.

Note: Helmets are required on all TOC biking events. You will not be allowed to participate without one
