Itinerary:

We will leave Toronto and head north-west towards the Hockley Valley. We will be doing a 20 km loop hike, starting up the Bruce Trail and then heading along the Hockley Heights Side Trail. Along the way we will pass a few ponds, a pine plantation, cross the Nottawasaga River and travel through mature hardwood bush. We should see beautiful fall colours across the Hockley Valley, and north and east toward the Dufferin Highlands. Total ascent is over 1000 metres over the length of the hike as the trail goes up and down numerous valleys. It's a good hike to do if you like getting a bit of a workout.

This hike will be at a pace of about 3.5-4k/hr and there will be no drop-outs. All participants must have previous TOC experience on hikes at this level in order to come on this event.
