Ontario is beautiful. There are many cool trails and things to see outside of Toronto.
My aim is to hit different interesting hiking trails throughout the GTA and beyond which can be accessed by public transit.

So, I'm a sucker for punishment and torturing other people
and I've seen Arnie lead hikes to Joker's Hill and have been excited to try these 99 stairs myself.
In all honesty, there's nothing at the top, except the accomplishment of completing the climb.
I know I'm really selling it, lol.

Today's hike will travel 14.5 KM from the Newmarket Bus Terminal to Jokers Hill & back.

Please bring a lunch and at least 1-2 Litres of water.
We'll stop for lunch somewhere along the way.

If you cannot walk the entire distance please do not sign up for this hike.

Terrain: Paved multi use trails and single track dirt trails, with a few sidewalks.
Elevation Range: 100 meters

Washrooms: We'll pass a washroom 2.5 KM into the hike, but the bus terminal also has washrooms.

The closest approximate address is 320 Eagle St West in Newmarket.

If taking transit.

Take Line 1 to Finch Station.

Exit TTC and travel to the regional terminal @ Finch Station.

Switch to the VIVA bus and make sure that you're taking a bus to Newmarket Terminal.

For those of you driving, Newmarket Bus Terminal is located at 320 Eagle St West in Newmarket, just south of Davis Drive, just west of Yonge Street (Regional Road 1).

In terms of parking, the bus terminal does have a free parking lot.
