Itinerary:

Ontario is beautiful. There are many cool trails and things to see outside of Toronto.
My aim is to hit different interesting hiking trails throughout the GTA and beyond which can be accessed by public transit.

For today's hike I'm trying something new, where we are walking to Ontario largest farmers' market in St Jacobs.

Here's the plan for the day
  • Start the hike @ 10:45
  • Hike for 13 KM over 3.5 hours to St Jacob's Farmers Market, including our lunch stop at Silver Lake
  • Stay at the market until it closes at 3:30 PM
  • Meet up at the Market Station @ 4 PM
  • Walk back to Northfield Station to take the ION LRT back to Kitchener GO Station
TICKETS FOR THE LRT ARE $4.00 - we'll buy tickets from the fare machine; so cash, debit or credit is accepted.
  • Get off at Central Station for 500m walk back to Kitchener GO Station

Please bring a lunch and at least 1-2 Litres of water.
We'll stop for lunch about 4 KM in near Silver Lake.

If you cannot walk the entire distance please do not sign up for this hike.
