Ontario is beautiful. There are many cool trails and things to see outside of Toronto.
My aim is to hit different interesting hiking trails throughout the GTA and beyond which can be accessed by public transit.

So, this is my third attempt at taking members of the TOC to the Niagara Gorge, Glen & Whirlpool.
I'm still working out the kinks in this hike, but hoping for a good experience.

So, this hike is kinda weird.
I've rated this hike as a D4, partly because there is a 5 KM section that is very sketchy and rocky and challenging, which does include some rock climbing and scaling walls.
This section also includes poor wayfinding and climbing over large rocks.
But then, I'd consider the other 8 KM of this hike as really easy as its on wide paved trails.

Please bring a lunch and at least 1-2 Litres of water.
We'll stop for lunch about 4.5 KM into the hike beside the Whirlpool.

If you cannot walk the entire distance please do not sign up for this hike.

We'll meet at the front of the Niagara Falls VIA rail station. I've timed this hike, so that we can meet after the GO train has arrived, plus any minor delays.

If you take the 9:03 AM train from Union Station, you should be able to reach by the start time.

To save money on GO Transit Fare, purchase the $10 weekend pass 'BY CLICKING HERE'

Look for me in the BLUE Toronto Outdoor Club shirt at the entrance to the station.

For those of you driving, Niagara Falls VIA Rail station is located at 4267 Bridge St, which is about a 2 hour drive from Toronto.
