Explore the Jim Tovey Conservation Area

Join us for a walk exploring the newest trail at the Jim Tovey Conservation Area, just a short distance from Toronto. Easily accessible by TTC, GO Transit, or on foot, this is a great opportunity to experience nature close to the city.

We will meet at a designated location near a transit stop (details to be announced) and walk together through the newly developed conservation area. Urban hike length TBD, but we will aim for a walk around 8km. Area officially opens May 29, 2026. Expect itinerary information to be posted then.

After hitting the conservation area, we will wind our way back and stop at the Small Arms Building, which hosts a farmers' market on Sundays. You will have the opportunity to buy a coffee if you choose and to use the restroom. We will return to the meeting point for noon.
