About the Hike

A scenic ~22km loopthrough Hilton Falls Conservation Area, hiking along the escarpment, forested trails, and of course a visit to the picturesque Hilton Falls. Expect varied terrain, steady climbs, and peaceful backcountry sections along the Bruce Trail and side trail network. Best suited for strong intermediate hikers who can maintain steady pace of 4.5km/h for the full hike distance .

NOTE: Maximum group size: Dependent on the number of registered drivers willing to take passengers. Will increase up to 12 if more drivers join

Washrooms Stop at Tims before/after hike. Possible if open for the season toilets at 15km marker

Required Items to Bring:

Item Notes / Tips
OHIP Card Essential for emergencies
Water (2–3 L) Stay hydrated throughout the hike
Trail Snacks Energy bars, fruit, nuts — avoid messy food
Sturdy Hiking Shoes Good grip for rocky or slippery terrain
⚠️ Microspikes ⚠️ From mid-Nov to mid-May, always carry them, icy patches can be encountered in ravines and shaded areas even when temperature is above freezing.

First Aid Kit Basic supplies for minor injuries (bandages, antiseptic, etc.)
Lunch Pack something filling and easy to eat on the trail
Foam Pad Useful for sitting comfortably during breaks, even on wet ground
Spare Pair of Shoes As a courtesy to drivers, since the hike might be muddy
