Snowshoeing at Scarlett Mills Park (2/1/2026)

I maintain a 1 km skate ski circuit at Scarlett Mills Park, but right now it is buried under 50 cm of snow! The best way to start grooming the trail back is to snowshoe on where it should be, so this is the plan for the outing!

You will need your own snowshoes. As the snow is deep and unbroken, it will require some effort. We will snowshoe for 1.5 hours, not worrying about the distance too much.

Dress for the weather, in layers that can be taken off and added on, hat, gloves/mitts, etc.

Hiking boots/winter boots suitable for hiking in snow/snowshoeing
Layers of warm clothes
Water/snacks
Sunscreen for sun/wind protection if necessary

TTC: get to Edenbridge stop by bus 79 from Runnymede, then walk up Edebridge Drive.

There is free parking at the Edenbridge Centre. If all spots are busy, there is parking on side streets.
