Itinerary:
This is a relatively short hike that takes you in a loop along the edge of the escarpment affording great views of the surrounding countryside below. Hiking on 5 km of cliff edge and forest trails with interpretive lookout and connections to Bruce Trail.

Mount Nemo Conservation Area has one of the best cliff ecosystems on Ontario’s Niagara Escarpment. Rich green ferns blanket limestone boulders scattered among old growth forests that are alive with jewel like birds. Crevice caves and ancient cedars, a thousand years old, can be seen all along the meandering cliff edge trail.

An interpretive lookout with spectacular views of the surrounding countryside lets visitors know why this natural environment park is worth protecting. Parking and connections to the Bruce Trail are available at this intriguing conservation area.

PLEASE NOTE: Proper hiking shoes or boots and appropriate clothing is a REQUIREMENT for this hike. There are a few hilly sections that will require boots with a good grippy soul. There may be mud or puddles on the trail.

The hike is around 2 hours in length and it's a great hike for first timers, or for those of you that enjoy a nice easy pace on your first trip out of the season.

Please make payment with the exact change at the event.

If this your first trip in 2008, please print a waiver, bring it with you, and complete it in front of a volunteer organizer as a witness.

This is Chetan's indoctrination as a volunteer, please feel free to give him a hard time.
