EVENT DETAILS

THE CARPOOL LEAVES VAUGHAN METROPOLITAN CENTRE STATION @ 9:30 AM

This is my first time leading this particular shorter route via Hockley Valley Provincial Reserve.
However, I've lead all the sections of this hike 8 times before.
This fun hike is pretty hilly utilizing the main Bruce Trail and 2 side trails.

Please bring a lunch and at least 1-2 Litres of water.
We'll stop for lunch along the trail.

If you cannot walk the entire distance please do not sign up for this hike.

    EVENT STATS
  • Distance: 12 KM
  • Terrain: Single track dirt trails and former dirt roads.
  • Trail vs Road: 12 km vs 0 km
  • Elevation Range: 100 meters
  • Challenging Climbs of Note: 6 climbs of at least 50 meters
  • Largest Climb: 85 meters
  • Washrooms: None
  • Highlights: 'Pretty river sections'

Those willing to drive, will get first priority on the wait list, should they be needed.
DRIVERS, WHEN YOU SIGN UP, PLEASE ANSWER THE CARPOOL QUESTION REGARDING THE AMOUNT OF PASSENGERS YOU CAN TAKE IN YOUR CAR!!!

For those of you choosing to meet at the event location, instead of the carpool, please ensure that you come on time

I’ve set the maximum event count at 1 as I don’t want to add anyone to the event until I have enough carpool drivers to accommodate passengers.
I will try accommodate up to 25 people.

I usually carry a pair of icers with me from the first snowfall of the year until the end of April, so I recommend having a pair in your pack to deal with any potential ice.
You can find the pair I use, 'here from Amazon'.
