EVENT DETAILS

THE CARPOOL LEAVES SHEPPARD WEST STATION AT 9:45 AM

This is my first time coordinating this particular hike with the TOC.
I've done this section of trail as part of other hikes, 3 times before.
This hike will be on a combination of Bruce Trails & Side Trails.

Please bring a lunch and at least 1-2 Litres of water.
We'll stop along the trail, maybe about 5.5 KM in, close to the lookout.

If you cannot walk the entire distance please do not sign up for this hike.

    EVENT STATS
  • Distance: 9 KM
  • Terrain: Single track dirt trails, which can be fairly rocky or technical in sections.
  • Trail vs Road: 8.5 km vs 500 meters
  • Elevation Range: 75 meters
  • Challenging Climbs of Note: 3 climbs of at least 50 meters
  • Largest Climb: 75 meter climb right at the beginning of the hike.
  • Washrooms: Maybe. Sometimes, there's a portable washroom, sometimes not.
  • Highlights: 'Silver Creek Falls' & 'Cool rock formations'

Those willing to drive, will get first priority on the wait list, should they be needed.
DRIVERS, WHEN YOU SIGN UP, PLEASE ANSWER THE CARPOOL QUESTION REGARDING THE AMOUNT OF PASSENGERS YOU CAN TAKE IN YOUR CAR!!!

For those of you choosing to meet at the event location, instead of the carpool, please ensure that you come on time

I’ve set the maximum event count at 1 as I don’t want to add anyone to the event until I have enough carpool drivers to accommodate passengers.
I will try accommodate up to 30 people.

I usually carry a pair of icers with me from the first snowfall of the year until the end of April, so I recommend having a pair in your pack to deal with any potential ice.
You can find the pair I use, 'here from Amazon'.
