Bon Echo is known for its breathtaking nature, including Mazinaw Rock. This 1.5-kilometre sheer rock face rises 100 metres above Mazinaw Lake, one of the deepest lakes in Ontario, and features over 260 native pictographs – the largest visible collection in Canada. There is plenty to do, hiking, canoeing, swimming. The park offers back country camping and multi day canoe trips, but to begin with I have booked one campsite (67) for 6 people and 3 tents maximum.

FAQs re: Car camping with the TOC
Payment: The minimum payment of 10.50 will be due two weeks before we go in order to reserve your spot. It is NOT refundable after the due date. The balance, if there are less than 6 people, will be due at the pre-camping meeting which will be held at a time convenient to everyone, within a week of our camping date.
Car pools and arrival times:We can show up any time on the date we have booked but must vacate by 2pm on the last date. Car pool arrangements will be made with the help of the coordinator. There must be a minimum of two carpool drivers. In the case of waiting lists, a driver may replace a non-driver (or someone who choses to meet at the site) if we have a lack of car space. Carpool drivers will make accomodations to pick up people and equipment at a convenient place and time.
Non members Because the maximum amount of people i could book was so small, you cannot reserve a spot for guests. Your guest will have to join as a member to reserve a spot.
In the event of a large wating list: We will try our best to accomodate a waiting list by trying to book another site if there is a demand for it. This means you must sign up on the waiting list if you want to come camping!!
Never been camping? Do not worry - I will make sure that you have access to all the equipment and information you need! Car camping is a fun and easy way to introduce yourself to camping in Ontario.

Approximate vehicle expense for this event is $138.29 (calculated at total Km * $0.258, effective Sunday, April 28, 2024). This is based on $0.08/Km for maintenance, plus current gas price divide by 9. Your event coordinator will confirm exactly how much money is required from each person.

Notes:

All participants are required to meet for a pre camping meeting to be determined before the camping date
- Registration is NOT COMPLETE until you've signed up and paid by the registration cut off date. The money must be in the TOC's possession by that date. No exceptions.
- When a minimum group size appears, this is to let you know that the event will be cancelled with full refunds to those who have already paid, if the minimum number of registered participants is not met. For any events where TOC needs a minimum number of participants, there will be absolutely no refund of money if you cancel.
- We encourage all members to follow our Etiquette Guidelines at all times while participating in TOC events.
