EVENT DETAILS

So, this is my first time leading a hike out of Downsview Park Station.
I hope it works out.

This 8.5 KM hike will start at Downsview Park Station and end at Finch West Subway Station.

This hike will primarily be on either paved park paths or neighbourhoods. However, we will have a grassy field and a short single track dirt trail to utilize as well.

In terms of hills, there's one challenging 40 meter climb out of the Black Creek, about halfway through the hike.

There's a couple options for washrooms on this route. About 2.5 km in Downsview Park, about 4.5 KM in Downsview Dells & about 5.5 KM in Northwood Park.
However, since they are all city of Toronto washrooms, there's no guarantees that they will be open.

We'll aim for a pace of 4-5 km/h.

For those of you driving, the address for Downsview Park Station is 25 Vitti Street.
In terms of parking, you should be able to park at the Downsview Park Merchants Market for free. To access the lot, enter the parking lot from Sheppard, one traffic light west of Vitti Street.
