EVENT DETAILS

So, the 195th episode (yes I'm counting the virtual ones) of Hike For A Pint takes place 807 days after the last in- person event.

You must be 19 or older to sign up for this hike.

In my Hike For A Pint Series, we'll be walking to either a brewery or interesting pub in the city.
The group size will be capped based on either reservation size or however many people I think I can get into a location.

Today's hike will traverse 10 KM from Keele Subway Station to a mystery pub located near the intersection of King & Bathurst.

If you register for this event, I'm going to ask that you come to the pub because:

  • 1. you could be taking a spot away from someone on the wait list who otherwise wanted to attend.
  • 2. Also because I could have a reservation and they are expecting a certain amount of people.

The majority of this hike will be on paved park paths, with a few neighbourhood sidwalks mixed in - we also start the hike with a dirt trail through high park.

In terms of hills, there are a few small climbs, but none of over 25 meters.

There will be an opportunity for a few washrooms along the way, passing one at the 3 KM mark and another at the 7 KM mark.

    We'll aim for a pace of 4-5 km/h.

This will also be the 1200th event I've coordinated with the TOC

For those of you driving, Keele Station is located on the north-east side of Bloor & Keele. In terms of parking, there's a TTC lot, one traffic light east of Keele and just a bit north.
