Write Up:

While this is a children's book and movie, it has a complicated plot, some adult themes, scary bits and violent but not gory special effects that will keep most adults on the edge of their seats for the whole movie. Having read the book I can't complain about the adaptation, however any movie goers should be aware that this is the first of a trilogy, so while it wraps up better than Fellowship of the Rings, it does leave a lot of loose ends that you'll have to wait until The Subtle Knife or The Amber Spyglass to be resolved. My advice: read the books AND see the movie - you won't be disappointed
