Write Up:
We arrived with minimal difficulty (only 1 car got lost on the way - briefly) to find the badlands were a real geologic anomaly. We were disappointed to find that all the trails around the badlands were closed for "natural regeneration". We tried to find a trail, and being unsuccessful we regrouped by the cars and discussed alternate portions of the Bruce Trail to hike on. We settled on TerraCotta and made our way there (just a few country blocks away). The trails were great, although at times hard to navigate even with maps & GPS in hand. Our semi-fearless volunteer was suffering greatly due to his new boots having broken-in (ok actually just busting up) his feet on a hike to Mono Cliffs the day before. Trudging at best speed the group did about 9km (which given our late start wasn't too bad) before deciding to head to our new clubhouse to recuperate from our day.
