Write Up:
Luckily the rain came the day before and not the day of the event. The ground was fine for the play and the crowd was a manageable size. We were able to get enough room for our entire group. People brought some wonderful goodies to share like dip, chips, salsa, raspberries (fresh from the garden), strawberries, cookies, and more.

Though Shakespearean language is a bit hard to understand, the play was quite enjoyable and a bit modernized. The actors had fun with the words and even "rapped" some of the lines. The costumes took a cue from "street wear" with trucker hats, one pant leg shorter than the other, etc. The band of actors was more like a gang of teenage actors complete with skateboards and over-sized jerseys. Their play within a play had some hilarious renditions as one boy played the woman using a falsetto and another played a wall that caused the two male actors to "kiss" each other because he pulled back as they both leaned in to "kiss through the wall." All in all, an excellent play. Highly recommend that other people take the effort to go see it too. It will be playing until Labour Day.
