Thu, Jan 1 2015 - NEW YEAR HIKE & LUNCH: Humber River (10K, 4.5km/h) (View Original Event Details)
|
It was a nice day for a hike, not too cold or too icy and a great way to start the new year.
We walked north along the east side of the Humber River. There wasn't a lot of wildlife but we saw Cardinals, Mallard ducks and Ring-billed gulls.
We ended the hike at a family run, Somalian restaurant. They served large portions for what they considered a snack, and at a very reasonable price. It was the first time I've experience being served a banana instead of bread... a great idea.
$6.00 was collected in voluntary donations. Thank you.
