First all, we welcomed our first time TOC hiker Stephen!

We were surprised by the white cover ground early this morning and the scenery was unremarkable. However, our snow-white simba was un-voluntary collecting and rolling snowball all the way. Fortunately, they were melted away shortly after our hike.

Hilton Falls Conservation was well-maintained and the Trail intersections were well-marked. For a 6,000 footsteps hike along the Escarpment from the visitor’s centre, we reached the Hilton Falls. There were picnic tables and warming fire pit awaited for us.

In the mid of Beaver Dam Trail was the second fire pit where bikers and hikers met. After passing the Beaver ponds and wetlands, we arrived at the intersection towards Hilton Falls Reservoir. Robert took us to view the interesting potholes which possibly formed after the glaciers retreated and Karen was adventurous enough to get in graciously.

After weaving our way around the reservoir, streams and beaver ponds, we were happily back to our cars within our expected time and headed to our hot meals and drinks.

All in all, it’s a joyful hike and thank you all for coming out!
