A group of six (plus) heading to Algonquin Park this Thanksgiving weekend. The three of us + simba the lion left Friday night and three left early Saturday morning. After our wake up and breakfast, the 2nd group arrived and joined the whole group to Centennial Ridges Trail hike access from the Coon Lake. The hike was a demanding loop trail but afforded spectacular viewing along two high ridges. We were back to the campsite around six, made our fire and shared the joy of food.
Sunday morning, we made our breakfast, packed our car and headed out to Canoe Lake for a paddle. We stopped at our private island where we shared more food, ate our lunch and enjoyed our time before heading back to our cars.
Overall, it was a fantastic weekend – excellent weather, great hikes, amazing views, fun time, great friends, good laughs, good food... Thank you all for making our thanksgiving weekend so wonderful!
