Description:
This sponsored event went ahead as planned and was
successful.
Ten hikers were in attendance and one person
informed of their absence
ahead of time via email. No one was late to show at
Downsview's Pick-
up lot.
The grouped hiked at a leisurely pace. Shots and
conversations were
the focus of the hike. In all, a distance of 12kms
was covered within
approximately 5-6 hours, including lunch (which took
place on a slope
overlooking a kettle lake.
Gorgeous day for photography with sparse cloud
cover, just enough for
excellent natural landscape photography. The day
following the event,
an email was sent out to all participants asking
them to submit their
photos. In all, 4 members' photos are posted on Flickr, and are linked
to the event posting.
Everyone joined for a post-hike dinner, beer and
ice-cream. One car's
bumper was scratched in the parking lot of the
restaurant. The
server's tips did not suffer as a consequence.
