swords, sandals, blood, longwinded speeches about duty and glory and freedom, special effects, giant god-kings, historical saga...this movie was FUN! Maybe not for those with weak constitutions, but it captured Frank Miller's unique artistic style that made "Sin City" so captivating. A rollicking good time. Sparta!! Ho! Ho! Ho!
After the movie we made our way to Milestone's for drinks and eats. Jason and I shared a chocolate dream of a cake mmmm, while we discussed his alter ego: El Rey Del Diablo...Melanie shared her experience as a volunteer profile - does that make her a TOC model? Ed found my "ask them about their boots" comment quite amusing. Julian (we'll have to refer to him as Julian2!) swore he'd be coming to hikes and getting in shape and Brent discussed briefly his vacation plans - Egypt or the Yukon? It's just as expensive to get to the Yukon as it is to get to Egypt...we'll have to see what Mel Tan thinks when she gets back in a few weeks...
