Thanks to all who attended our first episode of what has started out to be a series of great adventures. Everyone, and I mean everyone, who attended were all troupers. Each person contributed in their own way to the success of our day. Special thanks to Jane for your endless spirit and determination, and for sharing your knowledge of the trail along with contributing to the carpool.

Carpool drivers are essential to running an out of town event and no thanks is too small. A huge thank you to those drivers who helped make our day a special success.

The weather conditions were near perfect for our wintery hike. Though the snow covered trails were adding to our workout we still managed to keep an average pace of 4km/h.

Most of our hikers walked away with a huge sense of accomplishment, looking forward to the next leg of the Bruce Trail. This is partly thanks to Stacy, as the accomplishment logs she kindly provided for the group turned out to be a big hit. Thank you.

Part of what I have come to experience as a new volunteer is that running a successful event has a lot to do with the spirit of the kind folks who are in attendance. As I look forward to our upcoming Hike for a Badge episodes, I feel a great sense of excitement. Knowing that there are team-oriented, determined individuals who also want to complete the entire 71kms of Caledon's Bruce Trail makes experiencing back country adventures a reality and a pleasure.

Thanks again to all who attended, I look forward to meeting all of you again.
