Write Up:

There were three people on today's event. It was around +2C and foggy.

We had freezing rain last night which made it quite icy in places but we kept a safe pace. The stairs from Gerrard St to the Glen Stewart Ravine were very icy, so we held onto the railing and were very careful. Once on the trail it was beautiful. There was snow on the trail and on both sides of the creek. The water was flowing and was contrasted by the snow... It was quiet and you don't get that often in the city.

On the waterfront trail around Ashbridges Bay Point we saw male & female - oldsquaw, bufflehead, mallards and mute swan.

As we headed north we went through Greenwood Park. The new outdoor ice rink with the roof is very successful. At this point it had started raining again but the people playing hockey were dry. There is also a circular rink without a roof.

Withrow Park outdoor rink has just opened. There weren't many people skating. We decided not to go for lunch. Instead we headed to The Mad Italian. We each chose something different, gelato, hot chocolate and cappuccino.

$0.00 was collected in voluntary donations... everyone had badges.
