Write Up:

There were four people on tonight's event. The weather was mild for this time of the year, +3C.

The hike was pretty easy, although there were a few icy patches on Rosedale Valley road. 7k was just long enough to get us warmed up before arriving at Nathan Phillips Square. Our timing was perfect. As soon as we arrived the tree lights were lit at 7:30 PM, and they were beautiful.

The fireworks were scheduled for 8 PM. There was quite a crowd, so it took time to work our way to just east of the skating ring, where one of the video screens was set up, showing the musicians on the stage.

We saw:

  1. Tyler Shaw
  2. Cold Specks
  3. Divine Brown (R&B and soul singer)
  4. Carvin Winans (Grammy Award winner)

8:15 PM Fireworks were awesome, much better than last year. They were combined with a coloured laser show & music.

We left at 8:30 PM but the music continued.
