Write Up:

There were two people on this evening's hike. The temperature was -1C and clear. We did not get the snow flurries that were forecast. We noticed ice on the sidewalk where a puddle had frozen... first time for this season...!

We did not see any wildlife this evening... often we do.

Towards the end of the hike we went to the look-off at Chester Rd. Looking back at where we started at Union Station, it looked like we walked much farther that we had... a strange perception. It's a very pretty look-off. When there's only two people on a hike I notice that the conservation distracts you and you're finished before you know it. This was the case tonight. I measured the distance twice, 10.5k, and we finished in 1 hr 41 minutes, that's a 6.25 kph pace. It did not feel like we were walking that fast, even up the steep hill at Pottery Rd. We finished at Chester Station.

$0.00 was collected in voluntary donations.
