This was the first TOC event along the less explored side trails in the Credit basin of Mississauga. A couple of hikers, who are Mississauga residents, were surprised to know that there are challenging side trails running parallel to the Culham trail.

The weather was OK, though we'd have liked a little more shade in the noon. Around 6 km into the journey, one person suffered minor injuries (a head bump and a few bruises) while climbing a rocky hill in the Riverwood area. The injury was not threatening, and she was able to complete the rest of the journey. One of the side trails was washed out, so we ended up covering an extra km while returning. The bush-walking along the wild parsnip-infested side trails was a concern for a few hikers, who chose to stay on the main Culham trail for a small part of the journey.

$13 was collected as donation for this event.

Map of the path covered by us (the straight line along the Hewick Meadows is inaccurate – we walked along the Culham trail – I must have lost GPS signal):
