Well! So much for a 'spring' hike... the weather was absolutely gorgeous - much more like early summer - as five intrepid Bramptonites hiked through the Heart Lake Conservation Area, enjoying the warm air, birds, sunshine and each other's company. We did run into the local dog-walking group, which wasn't so fortunate, as a couple of the group were somewhat nervous, but we passed the pack without incident. A little mud and a few wet patches didn't detract from the path. An iced coffee at Tim's afterwards capped off a very pleasant afternoon, and three new members got their first TOC event under their belts.
