Write Up:
The sherman falls/webster falls/tewes falls hike has got to be one of the most beautiful along the bruce trail system, especially in the fall, and 9 others seemed to agree. 10 of us set of at about 10 am from sherman falls and we made it to webster falls in time for lunch. It got a bit scary when rain threatened to pour down 10 km out into a 20 km hike meaning the cars were 10 km away in either direction, but it held off for, the most part, until we were safely tucked away in a restaurant a few hours later. We hiked 22.5 km with an average moving pace of 5.4 km/hour. An enjoyable day seemed to be had by all. What's not to enjoy - a good pace, beautiful fall colours, breathtaking waterfalls, a gorgegous fall day. And what's a good hike without at least one debate over the right direction which happened on this hike at the end to get back to the cars. Either direction would get us there but the hike leader (me) knew mine was the shortest. One lone sole (ahem - Dave) disagreed and set of alone to prove us wrong. The best part of the hike - beating Dave back to the cars. Mary Ann is right - Dave should listen to women more!
