Event Coordinator(s): Cindy B
Participants:Chuck F, Cindy B, Claire

Write Up:
We ended up being a small group for this outing, but this actually turned out to be quite pleasant - we were able to easily coordinate a quick stop for sunflower seeds (for the birds) and muffins (for our breakfast!). Lynde Shores was lovely - the chickadees let us know when they were hungry, and eagerly flitted briefly into our outstretched hands for a seed or two. We hiked slowly for about an hour, stopping frequently to feed birds or observe plants and other signs of wildlife. I particularly appreciated the peace and purity of the place, especially considering that it is still within the GTA.

After our hike, we headed to nearby Pita Deli, where we feasted on delicious pitas with falafel and fatoosh. It was a good thing we were hungry - those pitas are HUGE!!!

It was a refreshing little excursion. Thanks to Claire and Chuck for being wonderful companions!!! :)
