It was a comedy of errors, with some rain. Some things went well, others didn't, and it would embarass those involved to elaborate.
For some reason or other the weather was beautifully sunny and warm each of Friday and Sunday, with an entire day of drizzle in between. It also fell below freezing over Saturday night. We survived in good spirits nonetheless. The hiking was very nice, and included several memorable encounters with wild deer. I also had a close look at a red headed woodpecker, and we all were treated to a very large, and low flying bird of prey.
