It was a hot and muggy day and after the long weekend it was greatly appreciated! We all met at the Prince's gates, and Mitch insisted we must do a detour to see the B.A.D show - Bikers Against Distress, a charity event for the Distress Centres. Of course, as we pulled up to see the thousand's of Harleys, the Hooters girls were just getting on stage. I wondered what Mitch's *real* motivation was for checking out the show!!! But that was a quick detour and we were off on the busy waterfront trail. Once we got past the humber bridge, there were less pedestrians and we set off on a steady pace. Mitch led us through some side streets so we'd avoid having to drive along Lakeshore. The day was hot, but there was a cool breeze coming off the lake and it felt great. I had only planned to go to Marie Curtis park and back, but we were all feeling good and decided to continue on to Port Credit

Along the way we ran into two other TOC members on the trail! - what a coincidence. It made our club look like we are Everywhere! In Port Credit, we stopped by the Marina and Jason, Leah and myself ordered take out food from the restaurant. With food in hand, the conversation starting revolving around food and Mitch promised me some of his homemade sauerkraut - mmm. Mitch tried to convince Afra to bake up some Iranian cookies for the picnic. Sue took some pictures, but we didn't do much stopping - after eating we returned to the Exhibition, dropping off members on the way.

I hadn't done the waterfront trail to the west before and it's a great trip. Look for it to appear on the calendar again!
