We met for Chinese food in Hua Sang a restaurant on Baldwin St. at 6 pm. We ordered and enjoyed a large variety of dishes. Our group of ten included Virginia, who was on her first event.

Once we finished, we headed north up Henry St to the campus, with Maria in charge of “photo documentation”. Our first stop was Simco and Convocation Halls. Unfortunately this time someone remembered to lock AA the doors to Con Hall and so we could not get in to see it. Our next stop was Knox College and its beautiful quad. Walking into it is like stepping back in time from the 21st to 19th century.

We then strolled on to University College and the Croft Chapter House, with its blue painted walls. We then spent some time exploring other parts of the college, including its lovely quad.

Our next stop was to visit Hart House and its many wonderful rooms, and its attractive quad. The last building we visited was Trinity College. We talked our way past the young porter, who was viewing a type of pictures on his computer that are probably not sanctioned by the University. We looked at yet another lovely quad and were able to get into Stauchan Hall, the men’s residence dining hall.

Our tour ended with a stroll up Philosophers’ Walk behind the ROM to Bloor St. Most of us had to wend the evening with further refreshment provided by drinks at the Bedford Ballroom. All in all it was a most pleasant evening.
