Wow, what a way to spend Friday night! The weather was perfect and we were able to complete the entire 9km route through Maple Valley, Huntington, Bayview Reservoir and Windy Hill parks. The forest section was beautiful, with a full spectrum of flower colors. One lady we met liked these flowers so much she decided to take a bouquet of about 100 home with her. Hmm. No, she was not with the TOC.

Although the little bunnies promised in the event description were hiding from our large group we saw another important animal on the trail. A deer. Yes, a deer in the middle of the city. Our diligent photographers took many pictures and hopefully will share them shortly. After the event most of us headed to Jack Astor's. The large restaurant sign was well lit and the letters "s", "t", "o" and "r" had burned out. A rather suspicious combination considering the letters which remained, if you ask me. We stayed there for a while and had very interesting dinner conversation flowing.

Thanks to everyone for coming out and special thanks to Jessie for bringing up the rear of the group. Please welcome new members Julia, Maria and Jane to the club!
