Members were treated to free skate and helmet rentals by the Toronto Skate Library (for those who did not bring there own) along with an excellent skating soundtrack. The rinks (both the trail rink and shinny rink) were particularly empty and we had a lot of room to move around and test out new skating moves. Mesi went from being an absolute beginner to doing entire loops around the shinny rink on her own. Loreen awed the rest of us with her advanced skating moves. It was Kim's first event and Dima graciously co-hosted with her. Eva, a longtime member, was reintroduced to the club after some time away. The weather was wonderful -- cold and particularly sunny. It was an ideal day for skating. No Donations.
