We almost lost two members but Bill and Brenda managed to jump on to the boat at the very last minute :) They had called for rain and a few of us even saw a bolt of lightening in the distance! But instead of turning on us, the weather was fabulous. The boat was packed full of people and we stayed on the top deck for as long as we could stand the music. Cynthia took lots of pictures, we admired the yachts and everyone waved at us as we cruised on by. The sunset was lovely with a refreshing breeze off the water. Going through the Islands reminded Jo that she'd like to spend a day boating around them, so look out for a day at the island event! Perkin, new to the city, was enjoying his first 'booze cruise' as we usually call them, a nice change from the hoity toity San Fran crowd! We heard rumours that Erik was dancing, which he flatly denied - we'll have to follow up with Elena, Cheryl and Grant later! Marianna spent an inordinate amount of time apologizing to Ben, or was it the other way around? I still can't figure out who did what to who - it was a lot of "i'm sorry..no, I"M sorry...". and as soon as it got straight, Ben forgot to offer her some water, and he was back in the doghouse again!
A beautiful three hours on the waterfront, a treat for anyone who has not seen the city at night.
