Write Up:
There are some wonderful acronyms in the world. T.O.C. - for instance. For anyone who has had dealings with T.O.C, it brings to mind fun and happy times, beautiful scenery, friendly, interesting companions, etc.

Then there are some others...

One just happens to come to mind and - by pure coincidence - also starts with T. and ends in C. But somehow, the emotional response to this one is, well...it's like...different. Yeah...yeah.....different. Definitely.

I won't go into the details about the wee hours of Saturday morning. We ALL have our war stories, I'm sure. But news flash to the Gods: Volunteering TOCer's cannot be stopped, okay. It's official. Even those without cars or cell phones or car keys. Forget it. We'll be there. Come hell or high water. (Can I say "hell" on the website? Okay: Come Dante's Inferno or high water.)

It was a day to spread some good around. And we did. Cynthia circled the block to tell an elderly woman that the bus she was waiting for just wasn't going to come for her. She followed MY directions to Keele and Bloor with cheerful enthusiam - and found it anyway. Kirk planted - among many others - the largest tree I've ever seen that didn't require a hoist. And Ala made it to the event, a little late perhaps, but she REALLY wanted to be there and plant some trees, no matter what it took!

Thanks to all and their extra effort. The earth thanks you too.
