"This is only a moderate hike!" Julian exclaimed as Susan forged ahead at a hiking speed in excess of 4.5km/h...

A sunny government holiday with nothing on the TOC calendar? That was something I had to change. I put out the call for a last minute Good Friday hike and 5 TOC members answered the challenge.

We settled on the nearby Kelso Conservation Area for a nice loop around Mount Kelso. We found the trails manageable with a mostly hardened crust of snow which for the most part held one's mass, until you hit a deeper patch of snow.

After the loop and 7km had been completed we decided to call it a day and headed for the nearest Tim Horton's, as directed by GPS Daniel (GPS S.E.L.M.A. might have been jealous at not being chosen...)
