Most members who initially signed woke up in the morning to find their rides buried under an avalanche of snow. Fortunately, some managed to make it to the carpool and we drove to the trailhead.
The park was a dreamy winter wonderland, with virgin snow everywhere. We started the hike and followed Highland Creek from Morningside Park to Colonel Danforth Park, all the way to Lake Ontario.
There were great views in all directions from the shore (see album). After a short snack break we took pictures and leisurely retraced our steps back to the car.
