Itinerary: | |||||||
It’s going to be a discovery walk in Toronto through the central ravines and belt line. It’s approx. 3-4 hours. The starting point is Eglinton West Subway Station (Allen Rd. and Eglinton Ave. W.). After leaving the station, we will walk north about 5 minutes to the Belt Line Linear Park. The trail crosses Yonge Street and passes Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Then we will enter a system of natural ravines (i.e., Moore Park Ravine) pass the Don Valley Brickworks, which lead to St. Clair Subway Station (St. Clair and Yonge, our end stop). You can see a map of our path at http://www.toronto.ca/parks/brochures/walks/DW_Central.pdf. We will walk at a moderate pace. The trail consists of a combination of hard-packed and hard-paved surfaces. There are some steep slopes at the ravines so before we meet, make sure you have plenty of energy from your breakfast. | |||||||
