Itinerary:
For the month of December the Evergreen Brickworks puts on a special Winter Village in addition to its usual weekend events. I went a few years ago and had a blast, so let's hike there and check it out.

We will meet at Victoria Park Station and follow this route:

- west along the Taylor Creek Trail
- south along the Lower Don Trail
- arrive at the Brickworks

Route Rundown:
Distance: 8.5 km
Pace: About 4.5 km/h
Expected Time: About 2 hours + however long you stay at the Brickworks
Trails: Mostly paved trails
Terrain: Mostly flat

Once we arrive at the Brickworks, you are free to do as you wish. If you would rather just come for the hike, that is perfectly okay. I purposely chose this day because there are a number of food vendors from which you can purchase lunch and/or goodies and you can also shop at the Holiday Etsy Market. The outdoor skating rink will also be open if you want to go for a skate.

Once you are finished at the Village, you can either take the free shuttle bus to Broadview Station or the 28 Bayview South bus to Davisville Station.

For more information about the Winter Village, check out the website here: https://www.evergreen.ca/wha ts-on/wintervillage/

Please plan to arrive before the posted start time, we will be leaving immediately at 9:30am. I will turn my phone off once we begin, so any calls or messages will likely not be returned until the end of the hike. This hike will go forward rain or shine. A high risk of a thunderstorm (80%+) 24 hours prior may result in postponement or cancellation.
